Question:  "Is there a Meta Attribute Data Type that will support multiple images?  I need to assign a group of images to a sku and don't see a Meta Attribute that will support that."

Answer: 

There is no meta attribute that can contain a list of images. Only products and categories have this option.  However, there are couple of workarounds available:

1. Create multiple image attributes, like Image 1, Image 2 and so on.
2. Use a dictionary field and simply store urls to the images instead of actual images. For example: images/skuimage1.jpg.
