    Strange behaviour - ClientCatalog.SearchProducts returns null

    Hi,
    I've been running a store successfully for about 2 years now.
    Yesterday we started to see strange behaviour in the store front where no products are returned when choosing a category which should have products. This does not occur everytime, so sometimes I get the products returned and sometimes not. When no products are returned it takes a long time before I get the empty result.
    I added some logging arount the SearchProduct call in ClientCatalog and found that it returns null in these cases.
    We had no choise but to close the store, and I don't have a clue about where to start looking for a solution to this problem. Any suggestions or hints?

    PS:
    ecf version 4.1
    I've already had the DB and IIS guys check out the performance on the servers which is not a problem.
