Checkout Process and Order Life cicle documentation

hi, i wondering if some documentation is available about how checkout process is built : what pages/components related to checkout process, how registration process is coupled with checkout etc

also regarding orders , where can i found information about
    * each possible state of order
    * on the admin site , what "complete" and state change operation are supposed to do
    * list of all emails sent to customers and what are triggers for this emails

thanks, but i looking for some more in-depth documentations, i already read everything available on your wiki, it's very high-level,  i'll dig into the code, nothing will help.

BTW, loved the FAQ section :
"Q: Where can I get additional support? A: Use email support@yourcompany.com get in touch with us and we will do our best to support you. "

We are sorry that our documentation did not provide you with the answers you were looking for. While our documentation is not perfect, over the years, many have commented that our documentation is quite good. But we strive every day to make it better.

Some of the documentation is old since ECF 4.x has been on the market for a couple of years.

Some of our documentation was not migrated to the docs wiki site and can be found here - http://www.mediachase.com/ecf/documentation.aspx

Going forward, our most recent updates and tips will be published here - http://docs.mediachase.com/doku.php?id=ecf:41:tutorials:intro

Thanks for catching that typo for us.

Re: Checkout Process and Order Life cicle documentation

    hi,
i not say that your documentation is bad, i think for the "getting started" alike stuff you did a great job,
what i personally think can be improved is more support for the drill down programming tasks related to major components and some reference for common customization tasks , like :
    * supporting different catalogs/site per country
    * more help with specific payment providers, every developer working with ECF works on payment gateways integration and you can really make our lives simpler by improving documentation here
    * more documentation for orders and customers state machine : when customer account is created, what are states that customer/order can be in and how it can proceed to another state. How this process can be customized, extensibility points .

    Thanks,
    Yevgeniy
