    broken URLs for catalog pages

    Hi,

We are on ECF 4.0.6. We are facing some weird behaviour on our production environment. below is the details of the issue.

    - All Catalog Page URLs (Category and Product), which are being generated dynamically, becomes 'undefined' For example: http://ecom1.ignify.net/catalog/undefined

and resetting the IIS resolves the issue. This happens once in a month. (Not sure why).

We double check out web.config file where we have <Paths> defined (the key - 'category' and 'category1' are available) and also tried to understand whats going on in ClientHelper.FormatUrl() and ClientConfig.Paths, but could not figur out the solution.

Can you please help us to fix this issue ASAP.

    - Pankaj.

I believe upgrading your version to 4.1.2 will solve the problem.

Re: broken URLs for catalog pages

    Hi,

You're eligible for a free update to 4.1 source if you purchase 4.0 source within one year of purchase date.  Otherwise, it's a 40 percent discount to upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1.  If you decide to upgrade, we'll update your current 4.0 deployment licenses to 4.1 without extra cost.  You will have to pay for a new deployment license if you want to develop a new site.

Just email us at sales@mediachase.com and let us know when you want to upgrade (and when you originally purchased 4.0 source).

    Hope that helps.

Re: broken URLs for catalog pages

    Hi,

We will upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1. However, we want to ensure that with this upgrade, the bug discussed here will be fixed (undefined URL). Otherwise upgrade won't be worthy in terms of time spend and earn.

Before we upgrade, we would like to know that upgrade is the only solution to get this bug resolved. OR is it possible that we get the patch release (code snippets) so that we can easily change the code wherever needed in the existing version.

    Thanks.

    Hi Pankaj,

Just to let you know, we've made available the 4.1.2 Source code available for your account.

Having said that a developer will follow up with you to see if your issue can be resolved without having to upgrade your environment to 4.1.2.

Thank you again Pankaj for your patience.
