    UPS Shipping Gateway

I dont understand why this gateway isnt working.  I do have an account with UPS and I do have an accesskey.  So I am not sure if it has to do something with eCF isnt sending the request over on port 443 or if there is something else.

Also, I havent receive my distrubuition key yet, my order is 1119

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

Is there any error in error log (configuration->store log in commerce manager)? We are looking at this issue in the mean time.

The distribution key has been sent to you as well.

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

nothing in the store logs.   I have it configured in manager, but it just doesnt show up as an option in the payment and shipping section of checkout.   (last are of the url is /CheckoutPayment.aspx?id=0  and I would assume its looking a shipping method.)

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

Hi, we actually found the error log in your commercemanager that details the UPS error. We now have developer assigned to this issue, so it should be resolved within few days. We will give you a hotfix (if any required) as soon as it is available.

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

Great, now I just wish I knew where you found it in my logs.  Anyways, I am getting that store catalog empty error.  Says Catalog is eirther empty or your do not have access to the catalog.  Details Category with ParentCategoryId="0" not found, so I added a Category and still receive the same error so I even went as far as adding a product with some skus and still the same.

Me, I pull the category table up in sql just to see how ParentCategoryId is set.  Below is what came up in the table.

    CategoryId   1

    Name   On Line Store

    Ordering   0

    IsVisible   1

    ParentCategoryId   0

    CategoryTemplateId   1

    ItemsPerPage   0

( I am sure you get the point now)

I did try to import the catalog that came with it, but I can only have 100 products for now and it didnt work.

    1                   On Line Store 0 1 0 1 0 0  7 2005-08-03 13:15:08.187 2005-08-03 13:15:08.187 0

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

The information is in Store Logs under Configuration menu choice.

Go to Site Structure and select the very top category (checkbox next to it) and click access. In the dialog that opens add group "Everyone" and click save. That will give access to your default category to everyone.

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

Thats where I looked.  I even emptied it before i tried again and nothing was in there.

Also doing what you suggested with the parentcat id didnt work.  I was still getting that error.  So I just blew it away and started from scratch.  There has to be a better way, because I used the sql script to clean out the database at first got the error so I just started trying different things.  owell.

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

Hi, make sure you have a warehouse defined for all the sku's you are using. Without that defined the UPS shipping gateway won't work as it will not be able to calculate the origin address.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

Ok, so I take it the warehouse would be my address.  Let me try that.

    Re: UPS Shipping Gateway

Nope, no go on it.  I still dont get UPS shipping quotes.  I even tried my FedEx account and USPS.  None of the shipping works,  Something is missing and I dont see it in the logs.
