Hi,

Everytime I open another page within the calendar (ie like from a link in an event) and try to do a "Response.Redirect" (in the newly opened page)  I get the message "webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window" in IE.  How do I get rid of that message?  I don't want to close the page.  I just want it to redirect me to the page I specify.

Does anyone have any ideas?

what version of IE do you use? How do you open new page: right mouse click on link and select "Open in new window/tab" or you use java-script function "window.open" in link? When do you do "Response.Redirect": in some button or link click handler?

I use IE 7.

I call the page using the

NewLinkFormat="BLOCKED SCRIPTwindow.location = 'ScheduleSelection.aspx?start={0}';" 

in the calendar control or the other way is clicking on the event and following the link.  Both will produce the same unwanted result.  I do the Response.redirect after i press on the "Save" button in the "ScheduleSelection.aspx" which will then supposed to redirect back to the calendar.aspx page.

try to use "window.location.href" instead of "window.location":

NewLinkFormat="window.location.href = 'ScheduleSelection.aspx?start={0}';"

I tried replacing window.location with window.location.href but it didn't have any effect.  I still have the same problem.  Do you have any other ideas?

Hi,
please check security settings in IE for your site. Go to Internet Options> Security> (select) Internet Zone> (click) Default Level.
Or, Internet Options> Security> (select) Internet Zone> Custom> Scripting>
Active scripting> Enable.

I just checked and Active Scripting is enabled.  This seems to be an issue with only IE7.  I tried firefox and it's fine.  Is there another way around it?

When you open the page and then view source html produced by the page that is trying to close the window, do you see window.close code anywhere in there? If so, make sure you dont add that in the code behind on click events.

Specifically, have you tried the following:

When you open the page and then view source html produced by the page that is trying to close the window, do you see window.close code anywhere in there? If so, make sure you don't add that in the code behind on click events.
