Time
The Mediachase Business Application Foundation (BAF) Engine
is a technology shared with our SAF/IBN, and represents a key differentiator
between the ECF and other commerce platforms. The BAF is the next generation
Meta Data Engine, which in turns drive the ECF's dynamic data object
model.

fields, objects from the easy-to-use Admin page
•Assign relationships (1 to 1, 1 to
Many, Many to Many) between any fields, again without a developer or
writing code
•Place those fields, attributes and
objects into a form, from that same Admin page.
It is currently the base data object model for the:
Asset Management subsystem -
For example: It only takes 3 minutes for a basic
trained user to set standard height and width for an image file, the BAF
will create handlers that automatically write these attributes at the
meta data level and fields created in the database whenever an image is
uploaded.
Customer Management subsystem -
For example: It only takes 3 minutes for a basic
trained user to create a "Gift Card" field used to track how
much a customer has left on their gift card. The BAF will create handlers
that automatically write these attributes at the meta data level and
fields created in the database whenever that customer uses a gift card.
