Group (NYSE: CAJ, TYO: 7751), launched their Canon Online Store creating a new direct to consumer channel to reach the Australian public. Providing an eCommerce solution allows Canon Australia customers to browse, research, and purchase items all in the same place. Intelligent architecture and integration allows customers to view near real-time stock and product availability as they shop. The new online store also updated the Canon employee purchase solution to be PCI Compliant. As part of an overall digital strategy Canon Australia plans to utilize the ECF platform for the Canon New Zealand Online Store in the future.

Remington Products is the first site to be replatformed on the ECF by global consumer products parent company, Spectrum Brands.  Spectrum Brands plans an enterprise-wide migration of all brands to the ECF platform.  Online sales have doubled and the number of registered users consistently increases 10% each month since the launch of the Remington Products site.

Faber Music is the leading British publisher of music media and resources.  Faber Music leveraged the ECF to create multiple storefronts which would each sell a subset of the catalog containing thousands of download and physical products.  Faber Music provides an ECF eCommerce system that manages “ePartners”, 3rd party vendors that create their own storefronts to sell a subset of the Faber Music catalog along with their own digital music content through Faber Music’s “ePartners Hub” marketplace.  There have been about 20 ePartners’ sites launched with a total of 50 planned for the first stages.  Faber Music also redesigned and relaunched their own main website and the Faber Music Store to be on the consolidated ECF platform, where they could manage their own sites as well as all of the ePartners from one easy to use central backend system.

Overview

Applying best practices in user experience and visual design to create a new look for SPC, Guidance extensively customized Mediachase's ECF platform to build Specialized.net. The suckerfish dropdown navigation was custom-coded and it's easily manageable and extensible through the site's custom-build admin system. Filtered search capabilities were integrated using Nextopia's eComm | Search software, which allows visitors to narrow down their search results based on brand, product category, or type. A single-page checkout (SPCO) was created for the site, with a custom real-time shipping rate algorithm which uses product dimensions and weight information along with selected carrier and provided zip code to calculate the shipping rate of any order.

Guidance designs, builds and maintains eCommerce websites for pure-play online or multi-channel retailers. Guidance creates captivating online experiences so consumers will buy more, come back often and value greater engagement with the retailer.
