    Error running upgrade script

    Hi Support,

I‘m in the process of upgrading ECF from 4.1.0 to 4.1.2 and got the following result when running the script Stat_ECF4.1.0_to_4.1.2_upgrade.sql:

    Adding indexes to [dbo].[Stat_Global]
    Adding indexes to [dbo].[Stat_RequestInfo]
    Altering [dbo].[Stat_RequestInfo]

    (78 row(s) affected)
Caution: Changing any part of an object name could break scripts and stored procedures.
    Altering [dbo].[Stat_FillRequestInfo]
    Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Procedure Stat_FillRequestInfo, Line 55
    Invalid column name 'UserAgent'.
    Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Procedure Stat_FillRequestInfo, Line 55
    Invalid column name 'UserAgent'.

    Should I worry about this?

    Regards,
    Gudmundur G.

    Re: Error running upgrade script

    Hi Gudmundur,

    I apologize for the delay.

For clarification, we do have a few questions:

    1) 4.1.0 - was that a clean install or did you upgrade that from 4.0.11?  Please clarify the starting point for your 4.1.0 site.

    2) What modifications did you make in your 4.1.0 implementation for the site that you are trying to perform the upgrade?  What is your metadata structure (metaclass names and meta attributes)?

    3) Can you outline the steps you took to get this error including where you found the script (including folder name), what the name of the script was, the command you used to run it, and any other details you have?

    4) Which OS and version of SQL are you currently running ECF 4.1?

    Re: Error running upgrade script

    1) If I remember correctly it was a clean install of 4.1.0.

    2) There are quite a bit of modifications and around 30-40 different metaclasses and attributes of different types. Do you need further description of the metastructure?

    3) The script is from the full source code download package of version 4.1.2. I ran the script following a successful run of ECF4.1.0_to_4.1.1_upgrade.sql and ECF4.1.1_to_4.1.2_upgrade.sql which I ran according to:
    http://docs.mediachase.com/doku.php?id=ecf:41:tutorials:upgrading

    4) The SQL server I'm running the script on is on Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2005. This is the test environment. The production environment is on SQL Server 2008.

    Re: Error running upgrade script

    Hi Gudmundur,

Thank you for the clarification. Sometimes running the scripts generate errors that can be ignored. Was the upgrade successful despite the error messages?

You can also refer to this previous forum for advice and for a user who had a similar issue: http://www.mediachase.com/Community/forums/thread/10141.aspx

    Hope this helps.
