We have created a product catalogue in Greek language using ecf v3.1.2. The store owner wishes to store inventory data for each sku.

So far so good. When we copied the product catalogue to a new language, we realized that inventory data has to be managed separately for each language. That is, if a customer purchases sku A (quantity: 1) using the greek language, the inventory data of the corresponding sku A in english language will not be affected (reduced by 1). The administrator has to update the inventory manually for all skus that are stored using languages other than the one used during the purchase. This is not very convenient if you have 2 or more languages.

Is there a way to overcome this problem? Are we missing something?

   If you want 2 or more SKUs have the same inventory, you need to specify the same Code for them.
